Research has proven that students, particularly remedial students, regress in their reading, writing, and math skills after just one week away from school. “If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it” is a saying that is very true in this case. The ten weeks of summer vacation are much too long to go without reinforcement of a student’s basic skills. Our six-week program still allows four weeks to be academic free.

Students attending once a week will be able to maintain their current levels. Students attending twice a week will continue their rate of progress. If a student is in the middle of an individualized prescriptive program, he or she should attend at least twice a week. Many students have gained one to two years in reading, math or writing when they attended at least 24 lessons over the summer. Summer is also a good opportunity to get ahead or prepare for future state tests.

A flexible schedule has been designed which should allow for your vacation plans. You are free to design the schedule most appropriate to your needs and desires. If the times stated on the Registration Form do not work for you, please do not hesitate to inquire about alternative times that may be available.

Registration will be accepted beginning the first of March. Spaces will be filled on a first come-first serve basis. If you have any questions concerning the tutorial program or its benefits, please don’t hesitate to call.
